The symposium on "Cultivating Language Talent of 10 Languages Spoken in ASEAN Countries via School-Enterprise Cooperation" was successfully held at Guangzhou International Cooperation Center (GICC) on April 26th, 2023. This event was jointly organized by GICC and Faculty of Asian Language and Cultures of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. More than 20 people, including leaders and teacher representatives from Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, representatives of ASEAN Business Associations, Guangzhou education sector as well as entrepreneurs investing in ASEAN, attended the symposium.
The participants held an active and in-depth discussion on how to nurture language talent speaking languages in ASEAN countries, how to strengthen the school-enterprise cooperation mechanism in a bid to facilitate local enterprises in going global.
4月26日上午，广州国际交流合作中心（以下简称“广州国合中心”）和广东外语外贸大学东方语言文化学院联合主办的“东盟国家小语种人才培养及校企合作”专题座谈会在广州国合中心成功举办。来自广东外语外贸大学东方语言文化学院的领导及教师代表、东盟国家商协会代表、广州教育界人士、投资东盟的企业家代表等20余人出席了本次座谈会。
东盟是我国在RCEP的重要贸易伙伴。新冠疫情发生的3年里，中国-东盟贸易逆势增长，双向贸易额连创新高。目前双方已互为最大贸易伙伴、互为重要的投资来源地和目的地。随着中国与东盟各国经贸往来的不断深化，市场对熟悉东盟各国语言及文化的人才需求也在日益增加。在这种背景下，如何更好地培养出掌握东盟各国语言、熟知东盟各国文化的国际型人才，是提升广州与东盟各国经贸文化交流合作水平、助力广州企业更好地拓展“一带一路”倡议下东盟各国市场的当务之急。
