On August 2nd, Guangzhou International Cooperation Center (GICC), in collaboration with Guangyue International Community of Liede Street, hosted an event themed "A Cultural Tour of GZ," which attracted around 20 enthusiastic international friends in the local area. Through this immersive cultural experience, participants deepened their understanding of Guangzhou's old city and Cantonese culture.
8月2日，广州国际交流合作中心联合猎德街道广粤国际社区共同举办了一场“A Cultural Tour of GZ-花城文化之旅”活动，吸引了约20名在穗国际友人热情参与，通过沉浸式文化体验，加深国际友人对广州老城区及广府文化的了解。
On the day of the event, participants took the "Experience Guangzhou: A Journey Through Time and Tradition" cultural tourism line, departing from the Hotel Landmark Canton. The route passed through classic areas of the old city, including Taikang Road, Beijing Road, Wanfu Road, Zhongshan Road, and Yangjiang Road, visiting nearly 20 cultural and tourism attractions and iconic landmarks such as Haizhu Square, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, Nanyue King Museum, Lizhi Bay, Yongqingfang, Shamian Island, and Tianzi Wharf. The entire route was approximately 13 kilometers long and took 90 minutes, with English-speaking tour guides provided.
活动当天，参与者搭乘“如约华厦，印象广州”文旅专线，从广州华厦大酒店出发，途经泰康路、北京路、万福路、中山路、沿江路等老城区经典路段，参观了海珠广场、北京路步行街、南越王博物馆、荔枝湾、永庆坊、沙面岛、天字码头等近20个文化旅游景点和广州地标建筑。活动环线全长近13公里，行时90分钟，全程提供英文导游服务。
The interior of the double-decker bus was adorned with the charm of Cantonese culture. Passengers enjoyed traditional Cantonese dim sum while taking in the views through the 360-degree panoramic skylight, indulging in a feast of both visual and culinary enjoyment. The international friends not only experienced the historical landscape of Guangzhou but also savored authentic Cantonese cuisine.

After the event, many international participants expressed that the tour has deepened both their understanding of the old towns of Guangzhou and their affection for this charming city. The unique historical culture and culinary delights of Guangzhou left a lasting impression on them.

AJ, from Pennsylvania, USA, said that although he had tasted many Cantonese dim sums before, this was his first time enjoying them while touring the old city on a sightseeing bus, which he found to be a fantastic experience. Annie, from India, who considers herself a 'Guangzhou native' after living in the city for a decade, she considers the city to be comfortable, livable and safe, and she has received much help from friendly locals.
